the process
From silkworm cultivation to finished silk quilt, the process involves nine meticulous steps: mulberry leaf harvesting, silkworm rearing, cocoon selection, cocoon boiling, cocoon peeling, cotton opening, silk drawing, quilting, and anchoring. Each step demands patient execution to preserve silk's natural properties, ensuring premium quality. The precise heat for cocoon boiling and the exact tension for silk drawing can only be mastered by artisans like us, who have dedicated lifetimes to mulberry silk craftsmanship.
Ingenious process
From silkworm cultivation to raw material preparation, the process spans sixty-three days (7×9 days). Once the raw materials are ready, the silk-drawing and quilt-making phase begins. Four veteran female silk artisans stand opposite each other, exerting synchronized, evenly distributed force. Through precise positional adjustments, crafting a 2-kilogram silk quilt requires 150 layers of standing pulls.

It takes 38 silkworm hoods to produce 0.5kg of silk floss. Crafting a 2-kilogram silk quilt requires nearly 6,000 cocoon peelings. The drawn silk floss layer is encased in a pure cotton inner shell, entirely hand-stitched and hand-anchored. Only after manual inspection for compliance does this luxurious, comfortable silk quilt complete its creation.
